Rendez-Vous Lounge
Privacy policy
Last updated: 23 August 2026
Our approach
Rendez-Vous Lounge is based in Sint Maarten, on the Dutch side of the island, where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) does not apply as a matter of law. Because many of our guests visit from Europe, we voluntarily hold this site to a GDPR-grade standard. The short version: it collects nothing about you.
Data collected by this site
None. This site is a static showcase — no account, no payment, no form that stores anything on our side, no analytics, no advertising trackers. We do not see, log or keep any record of your visit.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies of its own. One exception to know about: the interactive map is an embedded Google Maps frame. When it loads, Google serves that content under its own terms and may set its own cookies — see the Google privacy policy.
When you contact us
Personal data only comes into play when you choose to reach out. Tapping a WhatsApp, phone or email link simply opens the matching app on your device; the conversation is then handled by that service under its own policy.
Reservation requests reach us as a WhatsApp conversation. We keep it only as long as needed to handle your booking.
Third-party services
The links on this site lead to the services we use to talk with our guests. Once there, their own rules apply:
WhatsApp (Meta) — privacy policy
Google Maps — privacy policy
Instagram (Meta) — privacy policy
Facebook (Meta) — privacy policy
Your rights
Even without a legal obligation, we honour the rights the GDPR grants: access, rectification and erasure. Write to contact@rendezvous-lounge.com to ask what we hold about you — usually nothing beyond a conversation you started — or to have it corrected or deleted. We answer fast.
